Founded in 2014 in Changsari, Assam, Saraighat Peace Foundation is a non-profit registered under the Societies Registration Act of 1860. We empower underprivileged communities through initiatives in women empowerment, health, education, rural development, and age care, fostering self-reliance and dignity.
Led by President Sumee Medhi, our team of professionals and volunteers works to ensure marginalized groups, including Scheduled Castes, Tribes, and BPL women, access their rights and live with dignity through innovative and impactful programs.
To empower women to become self-reliant, combat injustice through legal awareness and aid, and support marginalized communities like Scheduled Castes, Tribes, and Other Backward Classes to access their constitutional rights.
To ensure women’s independence, provide legal aid to those in need, and enhance the quality of life for marginalized groups, including the disabled and elderly, enabling them to live with dignity and opportunity.
We focus on women empowerment, legal aid, poverty elimination, health, education, vocational training, environmental protection, and gender equality, fostering holistic development for underprivileged communities.
